Film: Water for Elephants

Here I am, patiently waiting for this novel to arrive at my door, and what do I see on television, a preview for the film! And not just any preview, a beautiful one.

 

The previews give this film a wonderful Carnivale feel, (dark, magical, 1930s), 

which is right up my alley.  

The film stars Reese Witherspoon, Robert Pattinson and Christoph Waltz. I am a bit unsure of Witherspoon and Pattinson in a period film but perhaps I'll be pleasantly surprised.
