Second Blogoversary

February 23rd passed silently and uncelebrated here at the sea but it was the blog's second anniversary. That's right, I've been here for 2 years writing about and photographing the variety of random, often vintage related, things that interest me. In honor of this blogging milestone I probably should have staged another give away, decorated the blog or posted something celebratory on the 23rd but instead I let it slip away unnoticed (we'll save the next give away for 200 followers).

Unfortunately, I haven't posted much here lately. Maybe I've been in a blogging rut, or perhaps I've just been busy, but either way, I've been absent (and a bad, bad, blogger).

Right now we're in the process of buying a home, which is incredibly time consuming and stressful, especially for first time buyers. Last week we put an offer in on a home but were shut out by another prospective home owner with deeper pockets. Today another offer goes in on a different home, one that is hardly even built yet. While it's just a couple walls on a stone foundation so far, my beau and I want it, so fingers crossed that there is no one else lurking in the shadows, prepared to offer more. While it's a new construction, and thus not my dream home, I am planing on filling it with lovely old things and you can be sure I'll share the decorating process with you.

In the meantime, hopefully I'll come up with something to post (it may not be interesting but by golly I'll post something!).

As usual, thanks to everyone for reading and thanks especially to those who have been with me from the start.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, you make this blog possible....
